'Mini Art Prize Draw'

Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction to ‘Mini Art Prize Draw’

The ‘Mini Art Prize Draw’ is organised by The Handmade Shop & Gallery, 77a St Johns Street, Bury St Edmunds Suffolk IP33 1SQ, referred to below as the Organisers.

The Organisers acknowledge that this promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Art Around Town West Suffolk, Our Bury St Eds, Instagram, Facebook or any other parties.

These Terms and Conditions, together with any specific guidelines or rules notified by the Organisers apply to entrants ('you') submitting their work for entry to the ‘Mini Art Prize Draw’.

By entering you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and you acknowledge that your personal information will be used in accordance with the Privacy Policies of the Organisers (see below).

2. ‘Mini Art Prize Draw’ rules

The ‘Mini Art Prize Draw’ is open to all UK residents over the age of 18 only.

Any Artists/Persons which The Handmade Shop & Gallery currently Acts as Agents for will not be eligible for the ‘Mini Art Prize Draw’. Any persons previously but no longer represented within The Handmade Shop & Gallery can apply.

Artwork can be created by under 18's but they MUST be entered into the draw by a parent, guardian or responsible adult on their behalf.

Mini Art must be in 2D format and can be in any media.

Entries should be 8.5 x 5.5cm. Mini Art can be either made on the pre-printed cards available from The Handmade Shop & Gallery or on any paper, card or material/fabric.

Entries must include on the reverse attached to the Mini Art either a contact name or Instagram Handle and either a contact telephone number or an email address.

Anonymous art will be displayed in the Gallery on the Pink Pinboard but will not be entered into the draw as we will be unable to contact you should be drawn as a winner.

You can produce more than one piece of artwork - but please note that only ONE PIECE of art made by each entrant will be included in the ‘Mini Art Prize Draw’.

All entries should be pinned to the Pink Pinboard located in The Handmade Shop & Gallery.

Any Mini Art produced for Art Around Town West Suffolk as part of #tinyartaroundtown which is pinned to any other pinboard except the one located within The Handmade Shop & Gallery at 77a St Johns St will NOT be included in the draw.

Postal entries will be accepted and entered on your behalf by the Organisers - see postal address above. The Organisers accept no responsibility for postal entries which are lost in transit or arrive later than the two draw deadlines.

Your entry will be disqualified if:

• you are found to live outside the UK
• you are under 18 and are found to have submitted the entry yourself
• it is found that you have submitted multiple entries - only one entry per person will go into the ‘Mini Art Prize Draw’
• your entry is oversized and too big to be included on our pinboard - see size specifications above
• your entry was pinned to any Pink Pinboard not located at The Handmade Shop & Gallery
• your entry is anonymous - no contact details are supplied
3. The Draws

All entries submitted and pinned to the Pink Pinboard within The Handmade Shop & Gallery will be collected at 4pm on two draw dates: Monday 31st July and Thursday 31st August 2023.

Entries will be checked for duplicates and four winning entries will be drawn by an independent person.

Four winners will be chosen on each of the two draws - a total of eight.

Each winner will be notified via their contact details on the next working day or as soon as possible.

All entries for the July draw will NOT be included in the August draw. All entrants from July may submit a new Mini Art to be included within the August draw. The same T&C's apply.

Each winner will receive a £10 Gift Voucher to be spent at The Handmade Shop & Gallery before 24th December 2023.

No cash prize alternative will be offered.

The prize is non-transferable.

4. Copyright permissions for all entries

By submitting entries, you hereby grant to the Organisers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright licence to reproduce your mini art for the purposes of processing your entry. Such copyright licence shall include the right for the Organisers to store, distribute, transmit, communicate and adapt the work in accordance with the applicable copyright law.

Entrants and winners of the ‘Mini Art Prize Draw’ may have their work published on The Handmade Shop & Gallery's social media channels. You will be credited and tagged in only with your IG Handle if supplied.

If copyright permission is not granted please make this clear in writing addressed to the Organisers at the time of your entry.

5. Data protection

The Organisers are committed to protecting your privacy and will use all personal data supplied by you in connection with your entry in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation.

By agreeing to the terms and conditions, you are consenting The Handmade Shop & Gallery using your personal data supplied for the administration of the ‘Mini Art Prize Draw’. All personal data will be held by the Organisers and solely used for the purpose of administering entries. Your entry details may be shared with the volunteers who work at The Handmade Shop & Gallery for purposes of administering the ‘Mini Art Prize Draw’, and where your entry is successful, may be published on the The Handmade Shop & Gallery social media accounts.

At the end of each ‘Mini Art Prize Draw’ all entries will be destroyed to protect your Data.

If you wish to collect your Mini Art you MUST make this clear in writing addressed to the Organisers at the time of your entry.

6. General

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organisers exclude their liability for any direct or indirect damages or losses of any kind arising out of anyone's participation in ‘Mini Art Prize Draw’.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these terms, which shall remain in full force and effect.

The ‘Mini Art Prize Draw’ Terms and Conditions and any non-contractual obligations connected to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any issue under these Terms and Conditions.
